For some time now we have been preparing the transfer of Windows hosting plans with the Plesk 9 control panel to new servers with greater capacity.
We prefer to use the C-Panel and Control Panel for Linux, but on the Windows chapter we still think that Plesk is what provides the best guarantees. Then, Enkompass (the Windows control panel of the company that developed C-Panel) has discontinued this panel.
For these and other reasons, we will keep using Plesk, but who knows if a more robust control panel won’t appear in the future to makes us equate a change.
There are many improvements in the new version of Plesk and we are sure that our customers will be pleased with this update.
We do not want to take too long in regards to technical innovations, but it should be pointed out that some improvements over the predecessors are:
– The interface has been rebuilt for easier navigation, with new navigational tabs, as were also included various text and video tutorials to help users;
– The client’s control panel backup system is finally working, allowing to safeguard all hosted data at any time;
– There’s an integrated applications installer, facilitating the tasks of the customers about the installation of platforms – Drupal, WordPress, etc;
– Improved database management.
Along with these changes the websites’ performance has been improved as well with new high-performance servers and by fixing a number of bugs that were starting to affect the previous services.
As usual, don’t hesitate to contact us so we can assist you.
